Why We Built This Site
Mississippi treats most court and law enforcement records as public, but that does not tell a reader which office is holding the piece they need. A warrant is not stored in one central place. The judge who signs an order sets the charge and any bond, while the Covington County Sheriff's Office is the agency that serves county process and can speak to custody. A bench warrant from a missed court date usually sits with the court that set the case, which in this county is often Justice Court or one of the three municipal courts rather than anything at the county courthouse counter. On top of that, Mississippi runs no public statewide warrant search: the state's criminal information exchange is restricted to law enforcement, and the electronic court system carries dockets rather than a warrant list. It is easy to call one office, hear nothing, and wrongly conclude that everything is clear. We gather the contacts, the record routes, and the request steps for each of those offices in one place so the first call lands correctly.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no tie to any Mississippi court, the Covington County Sheriff's Office, or any state agency. The limits are real:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm that a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot recall, quash, clear, or remove a warrant from any system
- We cannot accept bond money or any other payment toward a case
- We cannot schedule a surrender, a court date, or a walk through
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a particular warrant applies to you
- We cannot promise that every number, fee, or procedure published here is current today
Only the Covington County court that issued the process, or the sheriff's office holding it, can confirm whether a warrant exists and whether it has been recalled or cleared. We can point you to the right desk; the answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Several pages on this site carry search boxes operated by third-party providers. Those companies run their own services and set their own prices. If one of those tools leads to a paid signup, we may receive a referral fee, and that revenue is what keeps these pages free to read. We do not control their pricing or their results, and nothing they return is an official Mississippi warrant check.
